On a glorious sunny day on 19 August 28 members of the club took part in this year's Squibb Salver competition organised by Barry Macbeth.
The players, organised into four groups of 7, played each other in a round robin of 2 wood singles over six ends. The players who came out top of their groups then met in the semi finals.
The semi finalists Simon Fillary and Brian Conway, and Rod Spencer and Jim Milsom. Rod and Simon then played the final over a further eight ends until Simon emerged the winner.
In addition to Simon winning the Salver,
Tricia Squibb awarded a special prize
to Linda Macbeth as the lady with the
highest points total.
