Match results should be reported to burphamresults@gmail.com by captain of the day

For Internal Competitions Enties 2026. Simply click the link below and tick the competitions you would like to enter, then submit the form by Saturday 31st January. The draws will be announced at our first Club Night on Thursday April 23rd.  Once you have submitted your entry, confirmation of your choices will be emailed back to you by return.

We encourage all members to take part, and you will see from the descriptions below, that there is something for everyone, at every level.

Men’s and Ladies’ Singles. These include players of all levels from the less experienced to the most experienced.

All pairs’ competitions (except Aussie Pairs). The Bowling Committee will partner the less experienced with the more experienced, therefore an excellent way for newer bowlers to learn from their partners.

Mixed 2 Wood Singles. This is more demanding and therefore not recommended for inexperienced players.

Mixed Handicapped Singles. Players are assigned a handicap by the Bowling Committee that reflects their experience of competitive bowling.

Novice Singles is open to all playing members who have not won any bowls knockout competition at an established bowling club. A good place to start competing.

Aussie Mixed Pairs. To enter you simply nominate a partner. It starts as a round robin, with knockout rounds towards the end of the season. This format is a good way to gain experience in leading and skipping.

Later in the year you will also be invited to enter other events:

One-day competitions

There are 3 during the season, normally played in a series of short games from lunchtime to the end of the afternoon. The Squibb Salver is a 2-wood singles event, the Chipchase Cup a 3-wood pairs event and the Miller triples is -you’ve guessed it - a triples event.

September Triples League

This league is being extended to run in August and September and there will now be a trophy for the winning team. Another good way for all members at every level to enjoy a series of competitive games.

Please note that there is no charge for entering any internal competition.

External leagues 2026
