Another fascinating climax to our internal competition programme over the Bank holiday weekend 28 & 29 August.  Mixed weather on day 1 but glorious sunshine on day 2.  "Pistol" Pierre Challens notched up his first Men's Singles title while Carolyn Hart defended her Ladies' Singles title.  Rex Thorpe took the Handicap Single title while Vince Hopkinson emerged victorious in the Novice Singles clash with wife Barbara - how's life in the spare room then Vince!  Further details including about the Chipchase Cup and Squibb Salver competitions can be found under "Blog"  (give it time to load)  What a shame our Club President couldn't be there to enjoy it with us.
